Sometimes those "rain shots" end up with water droplets in funny places. In this case, there's a drop of water perched right on the top of the crown, making it look domed.
Here's another shot showing the same phenomenon, but even more exaggerated... And a shot showing that I should probably wait until the water freezes to go out and take pictures...
