Yes, but yours is the only opinion that matters.

On the other hand, since you posted the question, I prefer the Safari and I recommend getting it with 2 spare straps. I believe the watch is sold with a brown band that is excellent for casual wear--perhaps a bit pushy for a Cucinelli outfit, but great with jeans. With a black strap it should work with any dark suit and shoes and still be appropriate with jeans. And if you got a brightly colored or interestingly textured strap (red stingray or ostrich toe or even recycled baseball--I'm not kidding) it would work with any outfit in a more sophisticated or hip milieu.

My wrist is too small for the ROO, but I am happy to coach from the sideline.

Cheers.

I went with the diver. dont have it yet but here is why

-its a simple dial. who uses the chrono? maybe some of you but not me.

-the rubber on a tang is amazingly comfortable. plus to ME it looks good. you can
wear it in the summer or winter and you dont have to worry about swapping straps if you hit the pool. add to that the tang buckle looks great and you dont have the deployant digging into your wrist.

-the bracelet option totally changes it up.

-price. the diver is just simply more bang for the buck IMO. some may not be concerned about price but i have to be.

-simple classic and goes with anything IMO plus im partial to diver watches

you asked for opinions so im assuming you wanted them. either way if you buy one at the "right" price and your not thrilled you can always trade it off or flip it. so i wouldnt stress about it either way. go try them on and go with your gut. i dont think you can honestly go wrong with any of the ones you mentioned. all are steel and all will hold their value pretty well.

take your time and pick what "sings" to you my friend. everyone has different requirements and taste. thats why its so much fun and so many options available.

im going to forgo buying a few straps for my diver and save up for the bracelet in a year or two. although i think it would look pretty hot on a white hornback strap from AP bands. something about that white strap with white stitching just pops for me. not for everyone i know... but it does change things up nicely.

Can't go wrong with the diver or panda but I really think you need both. I picked up a diver and as soon a my fiancée lets me get another watch it will be the panda.

I still voted diver. With a bracelet I think it's a little more versitile and slightly better looking.

I voted Panda, for me it's everything a ROO should be and great first.

Versatile.
Sporty.
Classy.
Great color combo.

And it looks killer if you ever decide to do a bracelet.

Diver! I personally like watches that I can swim or take a shower with. The horn back straps are gorgeous but unfortunately you can't get them wet and once you get them all sweaty or soiled you'll never be able to clean them. Not if you get the Panda on bracelet, then I would go with that one as my first option.

Panda. I'm still figuring out if I'm going to get one or not. Am going to try it on this week in Vegas. That will be the deal maker/breaker. Let us know what you decide though..

In terms of looks, i love the panda. Owned one myself but parted with it, as it not very comfortable on the wrist for me. Not too sure if you had a chance for prolonged wearing, and the size of your wrist. If you want to be one on the safe size, would suggest diver, as I've have learn that it was suppose to fit better, especially with the rubber strap.

As to the Safari, it is very nice, but not as versatile as the other two. Regardless, all 3 are winners, look forward to your wrist shots.

My wrist measures 6.75". Is the deployment buckle a problem. I plan on getting the bracelet as well to switch up.

Well ladies and gentleman after several hours of research, looking at pictures, chatting on the forums and trying watches on, I'm about 95% certain that I'm going with the panda. I really like the dial and colour combination with the black leather strap. Looks really sharp.

Great, thanks. How do you find the comfort of the deployment buckle on the Panda strap. Some have commented that it can be uncomfortable at times.

Panda here for me also

For the color scheme of the Diver, I would just go with the 15300/15400. If getting a ROO, I like some pop!

Also take a look at how the Panda looks with the Singapore F1 strap

It's uncomfortable if you wear it snug. I wear it 1 hole loose and it's fine.

It is a bit uncomfortable. I feel something got stuck on my wrist. So what i did was to reverse the strap and buckle ( going different direction). Now im fine with it.

I flipped around the single fold deployant for a much better fit.

That's interesting. Thanks for letting me know. Is it possible to purchase a rubber strap for this piece.

Any of the standard ROO rubber straps will fit. The most comfy is the Diver strap on buckle.
