Looks like a great trip, Hal. August is a great time to visit NE and Boston, in particular. Looks like the weather couldn't have cooperated any better. The Hummingbird photos are beyond fantastic.

Seems it made a great companion on your trip.

I love Boston, such a beautiful city with a ton of heritage. And the North End is also very special with its small streets and great community feel. Great place!

Indeed. Weather was just perfect. I am very proud of the hummingbird pictures as it takes a lot of patience and luck to get the right angle and right shots. I think my Leica is also responsible for the crisp images.

North End was really nice and all the Italian places around are beautiful. Had to stop by Mike's Pastry for some cannoli.

As it is now a tradition with me, I like to post pictures of my travels and my watches. This weekend my wife and I headed to New England for a long weekend at her boss' house in New Hampshire. While we were there, we also visited Maine and Boston. We had an amazing time and I hope the pictures show you a little bit of what we enjoyed. We had tons of steamed lobster, lobster rolls, steamer clams, haddock and wine. Their house is just gorgeous with tons of grapevines around, hummingbirds, deer and chipmunks.

In Maine we visited the Kittery Trading Post, York, Cape Neddick aka Nubble Lighthouse, Perkins Cove, Marginal Way Lighthouse and had amazing lobster rolls at the #1 place in Maine for lobster rolls called the Foot Bridge Lobster.

While in Boston we walk around all over the place including the North End and took some great pictures from the Top of the Hub at the Prudential building. Also stopped by European Watch Co. on Newbury street. Great selection of APs, Pateks and other 'haute horlogerie' watches. Loved the Patek World Time clock.

Here are some pics. Enjoy!!! I am confident that after checking my pictures many of you will be pulling the trigger on the very few left 15300s.
I spy my house in one of your pictures ;)
