Value for money is one thing but how well is PVD hold up to scratches and dings. Last thing is paying so much more for the watch and the SS shows through the coating. I rather have a battered worn look of the SS than SS showing through the black colour.

Does any one have pictures of what PVD watch would look like after normal wear?

^ me too. I'm more concerned with the look after it's been used.
Seems resale is the main reason many don't like it, buncha flippers. Then for a keeper it shouldn't matter. I've never actually seen a used one for sale either.
I like it a lot but not if the ss shoes up after a few years of scratching. No one seems to have a review after normal wear, may be it looks like crap and they don't want to hear a gangload of people saying "see! told you".
