Mate, I use Telstra. Yes a little more expensive but rarely to never have connection issues. My wife is with Optus and she has connection issues even in Sydney CBD.

Mobiles are funny things. They engender love/hate relationships and financial approach/avoidance syndromes.

We love the features and looks, but generally hate the carriers for either service level or contracts.

We shell out more cash than is reasonable on the device, and then want to avoid paying for data, downloads, etc. (I read a funny quote from an author on a blog - he said in reply to a rant on the price of his new book's $13 download fee, "So I spent 6 days a week for 2 years to write this book and you complain about the $13 charge while drinking a $4 cup of coffee?")
