Yup, this is true. I wear mine so it's snug (without the comfort-link extended). If I get bloated or it gets too tight, I pop out the comfort-link.

Snug with room for a finger.

I wear mine snug, no movement, it bothers me when rides low to my hands. With the easylink I adjust it when it gets hot but it still sticks to my skin.

I wear my watch behind the wrist bone and fairly snug but it depends on the watch...
The 14060M that I'm wearing as I'm typing this sits quite snug on the wrist (all bracelet links installed and with the pin in the clasp sitting in the outermost hole)... sometimes I have to take off the watch and rub my wrist a bit; case/bracelet leave marks. The SS Daytona sits a bit looser on my wrist (have the Easylink folded out.... if folded in, the watch sits too tightly on my wrist)... could move the pin one notch out I suppose but haven't done so yet. The Explorer sits very comfortably on the wrist (neither too snug nor too loose) with the Easylink folded in....

It's always a personal preference as people have different tolerances to the feeling of something around their wrists. The feeling is also sometimes dependent on the temperature. I have a slightly higher sensitivity so I wear mine more on the loose side.
Even though 'snug' might increase a bracelet's longevity, there's no point in wearing it too snug if it doesn't feel comfortable .... hence. wear it however you wish as long as it's comfortable. |

don't like it loose for sure! Enough to squeeze a finger tip in the space is fine!

Old thread but I find that on my explorer II the band doesn't have enough adjustments for daily use to as my wrist changes throughout the day it can become increasingly tight.

I just remove one link and easy link is folded in. My watches are kinda loose but tight enough to not rotate around my wrist

Wow; very interesting variety of answers.
For me, I like 'em pretty loose with a fair bit of play, just like I wear clothes a little on the "relaxed" side. And no diff if it's leather or bracelet. Finally, since I've been wearing Rolex for over 30 years, I have confidence that some play does not negatively impact bracelet wear. So I suggest that you simply play around with the fit and see what looks and feels best to you! |
