Sorry to add to what so many have already pointed out, but it really does look fake. The one sure way to nail it is to have the case back opened and the movement examined. For that, you'll have to go to an expert (e.g. Rolex Service Center, or Rolex AD)

Yes, I agree, that horse is dead!
Obviously, I knew the band was aftermarket, the crystal was a replacement, and the dial was suspect due to quality, but I was more interested in knowing whether the actual Rolex watch part was genuine. I appreciate the vast and interesting comments (MoBe), and expert opinions. I truly am impressed with the amount of time folks were willing to part with to share their expertise - thank you. I will be traveling to Harrisburg over Thanksgiving holiday and will find a Rolex specialist to take the back off to view the movement. Again, many thanks. |
