Grandfathers Special Birthday Rolex Reveal!
Just wanted to share with the forum my 3rd Rolex acquisition... although this ones not staying with me for long...
My grandfather is having his 80th birthday in a couple of weeks, and I decided after all his guidance and help in my 27 years of life (he is more like a father to me) it was time for me to show him my appreciation in the best way I think he could enjoy. If it were not for him being in my life and showing me the right way I know I would never be in a position to enjoy 2 of my own.... He has always been into watches, he gifted me his IWC Mark XV a year ago the day before my wedding (I wore it proudly on my big day) and he had a Rolex many years ago that was taken in a break in... I think the 116400 was the perfect calibre for him, since he studied Electrical Engineering, and has worked in that career field his entire life (in fact he still goes to work at his company every day) Anyways, just wanted to share the watch, and tell you a little about him in his honor! His upcoming birthday will definitely be the highlight of my holiday season! Also want to give a shout out to Matt from DFW watches, this was my second transaction with him and it was quick, and painless. From the moment I initially emailed him about finding me the Milgauss to the time it arrived, in flawless condition as advertised, at my doorstep was under a week! Thanks for reading, Here she is:
