thinking out loud....

more than asking, i am just kind of thinking out loud. i think i know what you guys would say, but here goes anyway.....


in about a month or so, i am going to pop the question to my girlfriend. so i am currently looking into rings. thinking about 15k.

i currently have a three watch rotation, but really only wear my explorer II (recently realized how much i like this watch, and it has been on since).

i have the cash to pay for the ring outright. however, i tend to worry more about tomorrow than most people and i prefer to keep the cash. this most especially as i will also be paying for the wedding too. i have the cash for that as well, but i like to keep a certain amount liquid at all times.

i don't see the economy getting any better and i own my own businesses, so i am always looking to the future and want to ensure i will be able to provide....i like to have a large cushion. it helps me sleep at night.....

so i am thinking i will sell my hulk and GMT to fund the ring. i truly do love these watches. i think they are amazing. but i like the security and the cash more....i think.

and i figure if all continues to go well with the businesses in the future, i can buy them back.......at a loss for sure, but this is the dilemma.
