DD Presidential 18,038, which was bought 2 years ago. Now, this year one to purchase, 1680 Submariner The problem is the economy, otherwise I would have bought any number. Next year, it will perhaps be better for us ALL.

It's been a good year for me. Before this year, my last purchase was in 2008 (Blue dial Tag Monaco). I bought an Omega Seamaster Professional Chronograph for my brother while I was in the Caribbean (for which I was reimbursed) so at least I got to experience buying a watch in '11.
This year started off slowly. Got a TW Steel CEO Tech But things got better, much better. I sold a property in February that I had been stuck with since November 2010 and the madness began. Picked up my first Panerai, a PAM320 from drgross aka dra144 in March. It didn't stop there. I think the term is 'escalation'. I couldn't get the AP out of my head and so in late March, I worked out a deal with DavidSW for an Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Safari. He delivered it to my dad in Orlando and I had to wait until the beginning of April for when he came home to get my watch! Well, after that I thought I was done. However, I thought, maybe I needed a proper 'beater' watch after reading the Watchsnob's blog, I decided to research the Casio G Shock line. I ended up with GW-2310FB. Okay, so I should be done after that right? Well I found an Omega Planet Ocean here on TRF that I have been lusting after for a while but I was too slow to pull the trigger and it got sold. Well, the bug was planted and I knew I was doomed. I then saw a SS white faced Daytona listed by none other than, DavidSW. I started talking to him about it and he told me he also had a black faced SS Daytona for just a little bit more. That was in my possession four days later. If I can hold off for 11 more days, then that will be it for 2012. I don't see myself getting too much in 2013. I also got a TW Steel Canteen Rose Gold PVD, White Strap/MOP Dial Tag Monaco and a Casio G Shock GW2310-R1 for my wife. It's been a busy year. YIKES!

No new purchases for me watch-wise, though I did help my mom trade her SS Cartier Ballon Bleu 42mm for a SS DJ 36mm
Hard to believe that my last watch purchase was in 2009!!!! |
