I went through this last summer. Ended up going with the LV and a black bezel insert. I'm glad I made the right choice. The SubC is great, and I like the new bezel design best. The thicker case and lugs, and marginally heavier bracelet (clasp) just made the whole piece too big, clumsy even, for my taste.
The LV with the black bezel is the undeniably classic with maxi-dial splendor.
