With that being said, I love the DDII especially in the blue dial, but man you've got a lot of blue in your collection already. What's going to make you take off the AP, PP, Omega, or even the Iwc with the blued hands and put on the DDII other than just switching it up. Whereas the Panda fills a unique void in your collection from an aesthetics and color perspective. Yes the ROO's are kind of duplicates, but the colors on them are so different. The only way I'd part with the panda would be to buy a WG Daytona Panda. To me that look is classic and I wouldn't want to sacrifice that.

Absolutely BEST advice in this thread...

You have a stunning collection! If it were me, I would get rid of the IWC. The Platinum DDII is a gorgeous reference!

If it was 45k in euro's I'd get a Patek Philippe 5130R World Time(€35.930 RRP) to extend your existing collection.

I'd sell the AP's for a DDII Platinum any day. AP's aren't my favorite and the DDII is a stunning piece. It may become your daily wear once you get your hands on it. Mine certainly did.

I would NOT sell the Panda.

For budget, I would add JLC extreme lab 2.

Get the plat DDII - and yes, I'd sell the panda (at an acceptable price) w/o question.

Post pics when you get it! :)

At 45k, the 5726/1A-001 would be my first choice.

I see you already own a Nautilus, but I just can't get that specific piece out of my head.

Very nice collection!

Thanks for all the input. I agree that the panda may not get as much wrist time now given that the Rose gold rubberclad usually gets the wrist time if i am in the mood to go big....but when i do get the panda on my wrist it always puts a smile on my face. Especially if I am outside on a sunny day as that dial combined with the brushed SS just shines in the sun and the dial seems silver compared to white when indoors.

A close up and a wrist shot of each of the current family members...

I would dump the Rolex and Omega and think about adding a Lange 1 "Stealth" to your collection.

I had a ALS Platinum Datograph before but sold it as it was just not my style and picked up the PP instead.

As I mentioned, the Rolex TT DJ is not up for sale. The proceeds from selling the Omega or IWC will barely make a dent in the cost of the DD2.

The key question is whether to sell the panda to get the DD2 now or keep the panda and delay the purchase of the DD2
Wow, don't run it over with the lawn mower...

Why not wait until you can afford the ddII without selling any of your collection?

I'd "try" and be patient. Sounds like you don't want to sell it.

Would be a shame to sell the Panda as the ROOs fit your wrist the best, the others are actually a little small on you.

- Rolex YG GMT IIc
- AP RG ROO Rubberclad
- Rolex Sea Dweller
- AP ROO "Panda"

(1) If you were me would you sell the Panda to partially fund this acquisition?
(2) If not the Panda, any other you would sell to fund the acquisition?
(3) If you had 45k budget, what other watches would you consider given my existing collection?

Thanks for the input.
1. Yes if you don't wear it.
2. Whichever ones you don't use.
3. PP Annual Calendar
