116610 is a better experience for me. Yes it's "just" and upgraded bracelet and just a ceramic bezel for an extra grand but we're not talking a luxury product here even though the added material costs might not justify the increase price, the visual effect and tactile feel of touching and wearing the watch is a different level.

Worth the upgrade? Yeah. I'd say so.

Absolutely

I traded my 16610 for a 116610 and never have regretted the move. The Sub C is better in every aspect.

I have a 16610 and just bought the 116610 this weekend and I cannot take off my new SubC. The feel on the new Sub is sturdy and I love the new clasp.

Plain and simple I love all the new stuff over the old with some exceptions. I prefer the old LV to the new, I prefer the old Blue TT sub over the new. But anything with a black Cerachrome Bezel looks amazing. If I had to choose, I'd go new for two reasons. One, I think it looks Bigger and Better. Two, I believe the old ones will stop proportionately progressing in price like in the past, while any ceramic will stay proportionately tied with the latest market price. It will get more and more expensive to own a new or used ceramic while an old one may not be much more than it is now in five years, with the exception to the old LV. Which means you could always go back without a loss, or add an aluminum back to your collection at not much more than what you'll sell it for today.

That is up to you to decide, personally I would. Then again I'm not a fan of the older models.

Obviously only YOU can make the right decision , but let me tell you one thing , once you even try on the subC and feel that more "solid" feel its hard to go back!! i have trouble wearing my 16610LV after wearing either one of the new subs , and i still love the 16610LV it just feels like a fake watch compared to the build of the new ones. especially if you plan on wearing ever day ........ i think the SubC is really AWESOME!!

The question is what you want to wear.

Do you want the classic real thing that´s been used and abused by many professionals throughout the decades or the pimped up new version?

Do you want the original Ford GT or the new retro version?

Yes, and then save up to get yourself a nice Sea-Dweller with lug-holes to go with it if you're still looking for that old-school feeling.

X2 as per my post on page 1. Get your LVC on baby, and now you have the best of both worlds!

Interestingly I'd say yes to 16610 -> 116610 but no to 14060M -> 114060

Have seen one for sale on TRF, and it was very tempting, but was concerned about how another buyer might view resale value. Great idea, though!

There are pros and cons to both. I guess it depends on which one gives you a warm, fuzzy feeling!
