Comfort of a submariner
I stopped in to the Rolex store on 5th ave in NYC - just to try on the 116613LB. I was set on placing an order with one of our sellers on TRF.
After reading the reviews and researching to model, I thought it would be a very good all around daily watch. Much to my surprise, I really did not find it comfortable at all. I found that since the crown protrudes out from the case, if the watch would sit at a normal spot on my wrist, it would bite into the top portion of my hand. I played with the glide lock mechanism but the only way was to wear it higher on my wrist - something that I don't do and feels/looks off on my wrist. Just wanted to ask if anyone else has had the same impression. I was ready to tell my bank to wire the funds - glad I went to try it on - but was completely shocking that it wasn't as comfortable as I thought it would be. |
