Concur, though I have to admit the Panda is pretty striking.

Thanks everyone for all the great pics, tips, opinions, suggestions, etc... Still undecided, but maybe by the time I sell the Breitling I'll know something. Probably not, as I love them all.
BTW...Love the SI.com pic. Thanks Michael! |

Daytona or ExpII is a tough one....depends on the desired function and whether PCLs are an issue. I'd also seriously consider the white Milgauss. Good luck with the choice!

I would get the Explorer II, then wait for the release of the anticipated new Daytona or GMT and buy in a year or so. That is my plan.

I have thought about doing this as well. Only down side is that by then Rolex will probably want over $15k for a new style SS Daytona. I don't think I could ever justify paying that much for a SS model. Therefore, I would still not own a Daytona. I'm still on the fence on this one.

Daytona is not everyday watch, arguably speaking, due to no date function, while ExpII is great tool watch that you can wear everyday.
secondly, daytona with PCL vs. ExpII brushed bracelet.. I had to get rid of my GMT Iic because I couldn't justify the PCL on top of the busy dial.. although I miss my GMT Iic.. bottomline you can't go wrong with any. my humble advice (I have hulk and white daytona, somewhat close to your collection) |
