That snow sure looks nice... we've just had over a week of 35+ C, sometimes barely dropping below 30 C at night

I had a 1978 Saab turbo which I bought new. It didn't last long.

The Saab story:

The electric fan scraped against the fan shroud from day 1. Engine developed oil leak shortly after purchase. They needed to pull the engine and gouged the radiator upon reinstallation. Door hinge fell apart. Front brakes lasted 12k miles.

I drove the car to the inlaws in WI in the winter. Plugged the block heater in. Moisture froze in the crankcase vent tube and oil sprayed all over the engine out of the valve cover gasket. Big cloud of blue smoke all the way home.

I sold it the next day.

I will say that it handled very well on the road.

OMG . . . that's a sad story . .

We'll now the party is completely over . . . the Dutch Victor Muller wanted to save it via the Swedish Automobile company . . . because he wanted to save his own brand Spyker . . .
