Eeh maybe because some of the members are afraid to take their watches to a GTG if its all public, bigger risk for getting robbed

I understand where you are coming from...... You could have posted an invitation here on TRF and advised the parties interested to attend by email of venue. I have been to quiet a few GTGs here in Perth, some in Sydney (you can view the pics here on TRF), Melbourne, one in Stockholm, and an invitation went out and most times venue was sent by email. You may find that some Swedish members may have been offended for not being invited, unless it was a personal affair.
