I absolutely love the Sky Dweller. A yellow gold one.

It's growing on me. Still in the 'nice to have' category rather than the 'must have'! RG is the standout.

I wonder what their strategy is with the pricing? Does it really cost that much to make, or is it a perceived value for which they're going?

Too bad. I think it's pretty awesome in WG and RG. The YG is blah...

I liked the solid gold oyster bracelet!

I have owned the tt sub blue, and thought a yg sub would be a waste for me. i prefer the oyster bracelet over the other offerings, so I was waiting for something to appear. I like how the YG shows, the weight and size of the watch. To have the ability to wear one is rewarding. I negotiated, so the AD have some room.

It's always a matter of opinion, you now have the confirmation that you do not like this watch but I must say I'm really glad to read that even with your "prejudice" against it you still kept an open mind and tried it, kudos to you for that!

I must say I quite like the Sky-Dweller, it has an original design and its movement is very impressive for a Rolex. The only thing (without wanting to be redundant) I dislike about it is its size as I know I wouldn't be able to pull it off as well as some members on this forum (including my good friend Sam! ), I would have personally preferred to see it with a 38mm case.

P.S.: You tried my favorite version, I love colored gold but this model looks so pure and perfect in white gold that I cannot help but having a little something special for it!

I've seen one twice at the Rolex Boutique here, and subjectively it's a dog of a piece of design. I still feel it looks like it was designed on a drunken night with Ray Charles and Quasimodo fighting over an Etch-a-sketch.

A very good description I wonder what TRF members would say about this watch if it didn't have 'Rolex' on the dial.

Love the RG chocolate combo on both of those bad boys my friend!

With all due respect- you two gentlemen are making judgements comprised solely of aesthetic preferences...which is obviously subjective, but also obviously never the only reason to purchase a precision timepiece.

Personally - a RG SKD is the next purchase. And Mr. Sam needs to quit taunting me and posting pics of his.

I tried on the WG SkD today. Great watch but aesthetically I'd much rather have a RG SkD on bracelet. So I'm waiting.

Well a ROLEX on a strap for that much money....not a chance. It's robust case and design become a 'gentle wearer' due to the strap. My ROLEX, any ROLEX better live up to it's bulletproof rep. That is not going to happen on a soft leather strap...

When was the last time you were in need of the date and forgot what MONTH you were in?? So it advances the date on a short month -- not for that premium. Agreed the movement is a new approach, not necessarily a need or winning approach, not a game changer.

For that money (and far LESS) - there are SO many other fine choices (including other ROLEX) in the market.

Just my 2-3 cents worth..

Yes and what is your point here......So if it had a mickey mouse face on it you would buy it would you. Personally for that money I would choose a different brand and it would be a watch I thought was attractive.....Just my opinion if thats ok. !

I wish that they had only put the name Rolex on the dial and left everything else off. A cleaner dial would look better, especially at this price. I think both PP and AP have cleaner dials.

In SS it might be interesting to own. In gold, there are ALOT of other fine pieces at that price point which I would choose first. ALOT.

I admire the new technology but the dial is not pleasing to my eye. If you need a watch to tell you the month, you are in real trouble. No offense please, I am kidding. Sort of.

It's ok. Does not take my breath away.

I love Rocco's SkyDweller. I think it's a beautiful combination. But I absolutely do not like the white dial on white gold whatsoever. Just doesn't ring the right bells for me.

My point was to chastise the notion that a TRF member would purchase a fine timepiece like this simply because it had the crown on it! ;)

(Chastise).....If you think that no one has ever bought a Rolex because of the name, you are very naive indeed.

My response was made in jest and in good humor...and since you didn't catch that I'd say you are the naive one, good sir!

If my Sky-Dweller did not say Rolex on the dial I would still think it was an intelligently designed preciscion instrument. The fact that it does read Rolex makes it all the more special for me due to the complication and for what the future holds for the brand... This is coming from a chap who owns other brands as well... Be well!

Good sir.. I have quickly learned that it is pointless to argue or dispute your like/love for something with someone who is against what you like...

Sorry for this pic but I just had too!

Congrats in advance and I look forward to you enjoying your 326135 when you acquire it!

Like everything else in the world we have choices.....I would personally, thoroughly enjoy owning a SkyDweller...in any of the three choices. We make purchases based on what we like and can afford.....and that my friends is Capitalism!!!

Take it easy.....Leo
