The orange hand looks nice against the white dial. But why get rid of the Cyclops? It's so Rolex iconic. I also happen to love the Cyclops so I'm a bit biased.

Its a modern watch - not rare vintage, not particularly priceyas far as Rolexes go, totally reversible when you want (or not) - and best of all, its yours! I say have at it -- and -- I like it a lot! I like my old red-handed 16570, but would be proud to wear your modded version, too! Thanks for sharing a great idea with us. Enjoy it!!

Yes the orange GMT hand works. I need the cyclops as the date window is far too small to read without. I found it too small when I owned a DSSD as well - considering the overall size of the watch. Congrats for making a great model - special for your tastes and thanks for posting!

Hey I like it, it's your watch, and now it's customized for you, nothing wrong with that...

That looks fantastic in both aspects, the orange hand and the crystal sans cyclops!

Thanks, folks. I know many are purists and thus anti-mod, but I like that many can appreciate the mod as well!
I have the original cyclops saved, so it's a simple task to re-attach. ;) |

It looks clean with no cyclops. I maybe a little biased though. The orange hand looks nice too. A fat orange would be great.

It looks great Matt, I would think that I came up with it myself.

Very subtle. It looks really good. I'd have kept the cyclops but that's just me. The orange hand looks perfect.
