i'd love a manual-wind speedmaster, but i'd never lose my sub to get it. i think they're both iconic. but i agree that an older sub, perhaps a 16610, would be a better fit.

After a lot of thought I've decided to lose the Speedy Pro and get a new Explorer II for daily wear, and I hope at some point an older or vintage Sub Date.
In a large collection of half a dozen or more there would be a place for the Speedy Pro, but as one of two or three daily watches it doesn't do enough for me to earn its place. At least I can say I have owned it and tried it. |
