The GMT is a great watch, wear it in good health.
As I notice the 24 hand is not synched to your home time nor GMT, I've got to ask...what reference do you have the 24 hour hand set to? Just curious as I always like to know the different ways guys use their GMTs.

I set the 24 to sync up with their time. |

So when you travel to Germany will you reset the 12 hour hand to local time or leave the watch as is and continue to read it as you would at home (Germany off the bezel and home time off the dial)? Assuming you reset to local time and read the time back home off the bezel, it's probably easier in your case to turn the bezel to read home time rather than reset the 24 hour hand. That way you won't have to reset it again when you get back home, just turn the marker back to the top. Gosh I dig these watches.

I will just leave it as is. Use the 24 as the local time when I am in Germany. I know how you feel. Very happy with the GMT!! |

Both great watches. Now your next choice can be a sub. But which one...?

Congrats but I think you will want the sub because you are going to have lots of scratches on the polished bbracelet of GMT II... I learned the hard way with YM

That in itself is not that big a deal. If scratches on the PCLs become excessive for the owner's satisfaction it is a simple matter to polish them out.

I've owned both, cases are nearly identical and bearing in mind the GMTC has the triplock crown as well I wouldn't be at all surprised if it's actually water resistant as well to 300M like the SubC, and of course you get the added functionality of it being a GMT, so I would choose the GMTC every time especially as Subs are a little too common for my liking personally.

Exact same thing happened to me.
Great choice. Only problem is they are becoming too popular. See them everywhere (only if you're looking)

Gmt c great watch but doesn't come close to depth rating of the sub. It might have the trip lock crown, but the back cover is alot thiner than the subs!

Many congrats. IMHO, the very best watch in the current Rolex line-up.
