I don't think I have enough stamina to change the shape of the case with a cape cod. If you don't like scratches, I would polish away. If you think scratches add character ( I know they're inevitable), then don't do it. I don't understand some that say they add character, but have no problem having the case polished at service time. That would seem to be erasing your character.
