Sammy, you are a strapping young man, but I vote for bracelet, because although they will get scratches (that can be buffed out), they look great AND withstand all moisture and athletic activities. Just keep in mind that in the future you might be able to buy a bracelet to fit your watch.

The Daytona you are eyeing is gorgeous, and you will be the talk of the town. The only negative is that if you are married, she will get jealous of all the flirts you get from brazen women with a sharp eye for fine watches.

It is listed in his sig. I assumed he got it?

Fwiw, I try not to get my gator strap wet. Ie no swimming. I don't wear it a lot and it still smells good after almost 3 years.

I try to keep suntan oil off my wrist when I wear my Daytona with a strap or ensure the oil has saturated into my skin well ahead of wearing my watch. The oil penetrates the strap and collects a bit of dirt as well. It isn't noticeable until you take your watch off.

I ordered 116515 too assuming that's a high end watch I presumed leather strap should be also top notch quality and come with lining.
I have a Zenith Captain and it's strap has a lining to protect sweat, salt. Why Rolex don't make this even an option is strange

16528 on a generic black band while I wait for a Bulang strap. I dont care much for the endlinks. Seems cheesy. Great way to have a beautiful watch on the wrist without scratching up the original.

Would like to find out from you guys how the straps of leather daytona connects to the clasps. Is it on a standard spring bar to the clasp or similar to the bracelets its screw in joint?

Here you go, I am just not sure if they make a strap for the 515. It requires a little cut on one end, and it is different than the 518/9 straps as they use the older clasp.

Definitely shoot them an email with your questions. They will reply back with what you need exactly. Worked out fine on my previous 518
