Yes quite true but it only costs around $60-$70 complete and you can fit yourself in around 10 minutes or less..

That was the one thing that worried me about the Ceramics is how high that pip sits too. Even when I would wipe with a cloth you could feel it catch b/c it sits higher that the older ones that were more flush to the bezel.

I never mentioned superiority, just pointed out that a criterion that you gave is not an objective reason.

I think you're confused. You asked me to provide two or three reasons why the ceramic insert was better than the aluminum one. The reasons that I provided are facts.

As you said, fade/non fade is opinion not fact. Only the non-scratch reason is fact.

I don't understand how that is an opinion. Ceramic bezels are not going to fade like the aluminum ones. This has been discussed many times on this forum and other forums regarding ceramic inserts. If you understand the properties of ceramic materials, this should be obvious.

Not disputing that they dont fade, of course they dont fade. Just saying that the fact they do not fade is not an improvement in everyone's opinion.

Of course it's an improvement. Whether some people like it or not is irrelevant. My reasons, technical reasons, for the ceramic inserts being better are objective reasons. Your counterargument is completely subjective. Funny how just a few posts ago, you were the one telling me that my reasons weren't objective.

Look at the new Porsche 991 GT3. Lots of people do not like it because, compared 997 GT3, it isn't offered with a traditional manual transmission and it has electronic steering. Does that mean that it's not an improvement? Nope. Why? Because it's a faster car.
