how important to have YOUR name on papers?
ok. first off. i did search. i found a lot about no papers, box etc. but none with this question without reading for days.
anyway. all of my watches so far i have bought through an AD. before i found out about trusted sellers etc. and basically the deals i recieved were as good. (omega's, oris etc.) besides the point. i am 99.9% sure im using one of the trusted sellers on my next purchase. well here is my question. does it matter if it has someone elses name is on the papers? it doesnt to me, but i was wondering more about warranty? reciept? value loss on resale if i ever sell it because im "technically" the second owner? also. does it affect me getting it covered under my home owners like my other watches? i know its possible to get my name on the papers, but albeit at an added cost compared to finding a NIB with someone elses name... this would be on a DSSD. edit: before people hang me about thinking of selling a watch before i own it. either you "get" it or you dont.... lol. its a wicked disease. |
