Congrats to you! I think you'll find with some strap changes that your new 372 is very versatile and can take on many 'looks'. It is a beautiful model . Not unlike you, it was my first Pam as well. I'm not sure it's so much the size of the wrist as it is the shape of the wrist. Even if you don't have a tree trunk sized wrist, I'd encourage you to try on a 47mm (if you haven't done so) because if your wrist is relatively flat then even if it is not that big the watch will sit nicely.
