For me it's time to turn in the Evolution but I have no desire to sell my Breitling B01 black pearl and white pearl. My Daytona will be here tomorrow. Still can't get the sub TT starburst blue off my mind.

All of those Breitlings are nice, but you've picked up some great Rolex pieces. Great trade.

Congrats. With three new rolexes in your stable, how do you pick which one gets worn first? I'd probably wear each one a few hours a piece for the first week.

why does resale value always get brought up even when not mentioned when it comes to certain brands. I see AP's and VC's IWC's etc. Taking baths on the sales forum but they rarely get mentioned. I agree that was a pretty good trade depending on how much cash was kicked in. I have a blue steelfish and got it BNIB for 1850$ I can sell it for at least that now...Its really about the model and price point you purchased it at, not just the brand. I will probably get a sub one day but I will never flip the fish for it, its that nice.

I could not agree more. I have the navitimer world and a super avenger. I will never sell my navitimer world because it will always be one of the most beautiful watches in existence to me. It has a deep blue face with a gorgeous brown leather strap. When I wear it compliments pour out. My super avenger on the other hand is starting to feel too bulky as I have lost quite a few pounds. A glance on ebay tells me I can let it go for roughly what I paid.

As far as people wearing navitimers being fake pilots...I laugh about this myself all the time! I do not even enjoy flying! I take a xanax and snooze. I also do not frequent the depths of the mariana trench either but I have divers. I do not frequent multiple time zones and even if I did I would rely on my phone since it calculates all time zones incredibly well! Yachtmaster II owners almost never compete in regattas. Typical milgauss owners aren't encountering strong magnetic fields they just like lightning bolts! Daytona owners are not using their watches to time laps! For christ sake my 911 has a lap timer in it and that really has no value...but it is awesome! That is why we buy these silly toys. They are cool and capture our interest. End rant.

Oh yeah congrats OP those watches are a great addition to any collection.

Yes...I, like many others here have owned tons of really great watches w/ really poor comparative resale value. Omega's, IWC's, Ulysse Nardin...and the list goes on. But I always end up back to Rolex Subs getting the most wrist time. Funny thing is the other watches are often really great in there own unique way, and always seem blingier and get far more attention. But nothing seems to be quite like Rolex.

And for that, very watches truly retain resale value like Rolex!

The SteelFish was the only one of the four I sold that held its value - The other three lost at least 35% - 40% and they were all in MINT condition. To make this deal work I had to put out some cash and I still feel like I made a good decision. Breitling makes a good watch they are built like tanks - For me it was time for a change - Now that I went to Rolex I will never go back - Rolex is by far Superior IMHO.

No doubt you made a good decision. That may be a perfect combination of rolex sport watches, I would be extatic owning just one of those gems
