Use it the way you like it.
All I meant was that I simply plug in the two cities and it gives me the time in those locations. In other words, If I input that it is midnight in Los Angeles and want to know what time it is in Manila, it will tell me it is 3PM that day - so I know Manila is 15 hours ahead. Yes, it also gives you the UTC offsets, but I don't need to know that when it is giving me the actual time.

But I agree, the function is flexible enough to use any way that works for you.
