Everyone of us love the DSSD, but the BLNR is very special. Can't go wrong either way. I'd do GMT.

Loved the DSSD until I tried it on. Very large and very high. Could have gotten a great deal from a disenfranchised AD, but stuck with my SubC.

Get the DSSD first. If you hate it it'll be an easy flip. You don't want the GMT, decide to get the DSSD, and then realize you prefer the GMT.

What else do you have? That may help too.

I had a DSSD and wore as almost everyday watch.. after 1.5 years it really is an incredible watch....but the height became the issue. Bumping into things, doesn't fit well under dress shirt (and it shouldn't) but I tried.
FLipped for a GMTc (LN)....LOVE the GMT as a great all around watch work/play/dress.
.....BUT if I had the $$ I would get another DSSD for weekends etc...

Both are great but if you were going to have just one Rolex i believe the GMT is more versatile. With that said, if you are going to have more than one - the DSSD should be one of the more than one.

Two very different pieces - buy one, then the other. You can always flip either if you decide you don't want to keep one or both.

GMT! My arm grew tired carrying the heft of the DSSD (I'm wimpy since I also had trouble with some of the Panerai's and the new Omega's with the new 8500 and 9300 movements...).

This is why my next purchase will be a DSSD. I have big wrists and the BLNR does wear a little small. If I had it to do over again, I still would've bought the BLNR first, especially if I were planning on sticking with one watch.

Pick which one you like the most, first, OP but my vote is both! Also, think about the cyclops, because other than the larger size of the DSSD, I look forward to having a watch with no cyclops. Sometimes I'm just not in the mood to look down and see it.

I'm a GMT guy so I'm biased. But it would be much easier to get your money out of the BLNR if the romance doesn't last than to go about it the other way around.

My real answer though is the same as for all these "either/or" threads: Don't buy either until you're clear on which one you really want.
