The DateJust 36mm TT Jubilee is the steadfast though not the uniform. I wore a Rolex sport watch through most of my career practicing but, as I get older, have settled into the TT world with an occasional outing for my old but mint DD bark. I happen to like a date on my watches; my affair with the SS Daytona notwithstanding. I do happen to really fancy the Explorer I, as stated, though i do not own one. Your wrist size, budget, tastes, budget and what "speaks" to you (within budget) should drive the purchase decision. With all of that said, and given that I do not own one - The Explorer I really doesn't do anything wrong; just wish it had a date. But then, it would compete with the DateJust - which also doesn't do anything wrong.

DSSD as per the joke - What do you call a 1000 lawyers at the bottom of the sea?
Otherwise for a senior lawyer a used Patek Aquanaut or used Lange 1. For new a blue AP RO. |

The lawyer I know (corporate) wears one of:
Milgauss (his first) SS Daytona black dial (his second) Explorer II (his latest) I let him try on my BLNR last weekend and he liked it and said he was getting one, so maybe that would work as well. |

I wear either a GMT2C SS or Panerai 422.
I like the 422 better these days but the GMT2C is more versatile. I'm thinking of selling both and buying a Panerai 312. What the hell do I know? |

Can't say I know many lawyers personally. Actually, being in healthcare, I hope I never meet too many lawyers, much less long enough to notice what watch they wear
In all seriousness, my lawyer wears a WG sub. |

Get a brand new Rolex Datejust, white Gold or two tone. Senior lawyer must have one to show his achievement. Every successful man must wear a brand new Rolex.
Do not buy any pre owned or preloved , whatever brand, nothing like a new one, the sense of belonging is just fantastic. or may be get a talking watch?.... easy said. |

There is no rule here, you can get a 100 lawyers and they will each have different watches.
However, I would suggest stainless steel is the best material, just because TT could give the impression that you wanted solid gold but opted for something less expensive and solid gold might lead some clients to question your fees. I like black dial watches but again there is no rule, beyond that I also like the sporting models like Daytona or Submariner (the latter having the date feature advantage).

Same watch for anyone who works in an office so whatever you fancy! For me that pretty much opens it up to any sports watch out there be it Sub, Daytona, GMT, YM II, YM, Exp II, DJ, DD etc. etc.

I'm a patent attorney and I wear a black sub. Granted, I'm a young guy and can't afford a 15,000 watch, but I think the sub says you can afford a nice watch (i.e., you are a good attorney), but isn't so pricey/flashy as to have people question your billing rate.

Iwc Portuguese. Omega Speedmaster or Aqua Terra. Rolex Datejust 2(I like blue dial, index markers and fluted bezel, but it's your call.
