I love the yellow on the FC version but don't like the look of FC at all.

It looks like weird cheap plastic to my eyes!

SS got the boot to make way for the FC.

Mind you, for the OP, I'd probably recommend steel as an introduction to the brand; FC is for those with evolved tastes... ;-)

(Also, I have a Jumbo, so my steel fix is already taken care of.)

Adam

Adam is on to something here (as usual). Get the ss Diver first and see how you like it, and then if all is well, upgrade to the the FC Diver.

All go all in directly! :-)

SS Diver over FC. It's just more eye-catching and beautiful. In terms of durability and everyday wear though, the FC has the edge. Should also consider the new Ceramic Diver.

I'm considering all three, but leaning away from the ceramic as it seems unlikely they'll be available in the gray market any time soon. SS is tempting just because of the price but I think I'd probably like the FC better.

I saw the AP ceramic Diver in AP boutique and got hook at the first try it on. A beautiful deep dark effects from may angles and shiny, open case back is nothing can complain. But think harder AP FC still worth every penny!

I'd have to go SS on that one, the FC is very nice but for a diver I'd rather get the stainless steel case.

Did anyone mention the price difference between the 2 watches is more than $10,000?:)

SS for me, for the price of the FC Diver I'd pick something else.

I love both the SS, and the Full Carbon. I own a SS, a buddy of mine has the Full Carbon, and has let me wear it for the last few days. Its an awesome watch, you really forget you are wearing it. One of the most comfortable watches I have ever put on.

IMO, I think AP FC diver is a great value of $$$ can get in forged carbon. First, it's hard and expensive to make. Second, not many watch brands have carbon material beside Blancpain L-Evolution collection case and recently Zenith Lightweight carbon.
Blancpain FF also a great high end diver watch if you want something less $

Just think that you can replace the SS bezel MANY times for the price differential between SS and FC. Bottom line, get the one you like better and don't worry about scratches or durability.

FC is really special but SS shines and sparkles beautifully. Hard choice :)

I tried on the FC while down in Newport Beach for Thanksgiving, it's a smoking hot piece. The price is the only thing getting me down about it. It's definitely my kind of watch.

I would get the SS just because I have an FC 44mm already.

Tough choice, i would not make a decision without trying them side by side.

The scratch resistance of the FC is definitely a plus.
The weights and looks are significantly different.

I would also operate the bezel, set the time precisely to the minute and notice the hour hand.
