I'll stick with my Burberry jackets and I paid $109,000 less for each one.

The model looks like he would ride on the back.

They are adamant that their brand is strong and that £150 polo shirt prices are appropriate value.

Fair enough, though the "Made in Britain" prominent pronouncement by them is getting a little ridiculous.

Made in China, saving pennies, factories shut in UK.

Ho hum. I'll pass on this brand.

That is just wrong.....Croc Skin boots/shoes/purse etc. OK.

Even before you talk about price (which is absurd) the jacket is way too short and the cut is crap for a catwalk appearance, forget about the real world. The colour also makes me feel somewhat ill.

This reminds me of a recent trip I had to Louis Vuitton.

LV had this faded red cotton 'hoodie' top, nothing flash just your regular track top hoodie with "Louis Vuitton" embroided in cursive writing and a price tag of $1,800...

This, the cut color and terrible usefulness makes me ragey.

I'm all for people spending their hard earned money on what they like or choose, but for someone to buy that jacket, no matter how wealthy, they must seriously hate money!

That's not too bad. There are stores in NYC that have $50k USD umbrellas and a $247k USD cocktail dress. I imagine stores in Paris, Moscow, Dubai have more ridiculously priced items

I could be a billionaire and I couldn't imagine buying a $50k umbrella. I mean that is just insane especially considering I seem to leave at least one or two umbrellas in a bar, car or some other place in NYC. It is amaizing what people spend their money on.

Indeed. I'd rather give 50K and 275K to some animal protection fund.

I hear ya

I realize that limits we're willing to pay for items is all relative but there comes a point when it becomes stupid. I though the umbrella was a gimmick since it was made of crocodile until I heard that some Russian dude actually bought it and apparently uses the thing.

The first thing that strikes me about it is how uncomfortable it looks.
I have an old Alligator Gladstone bag and I reckon it would be about as comfortable to wear as that.
We have a Crocodile farm in the area where I reside and I think the owner would be pretty excited if he thought he could knock out a few of these at $100K each.

Well money is fairly new in Russia, and for most Russian billionaires the money has come very easily, or basically without much effort.

I guess at some point, when you have everything, and Louis Vuitton is dirt cheap, and all your friends has it, you have to impress some other way... 50K umbrella might do it.

There was a funny story I heard from a friend (who is married to a Russian) about two Russian women who bought the same purse. One bought it in Paris for list price, the other bought it in Moscow at +30% or whatever. The one who bought it in Moscow actually had bragging rights over her (in my eyes smarter) friend who only paid full price.

I think some people really believe the hype, more expensive = better.

Yes many people are . . . .

Why should you pay full price if you can have 30 % discount ?

Buys lot of rolex at the end of the year

Well, if it came with high boots and a riding crop, I could see that it might create some interest.

Okay, really, just kidding.
