Agreed, but you have to admit the f80 stance and very sick looking rear wheel arches are completely stunning. Meanest and most muscular saloon since the RS4. And if I get one I'll need the extra doors.

Don't like the idea of M cars being FI. I think the E9x M3 was the last of the true M cars. Making power from turbos is nothing special... And that's coming from a guy with a twin-turbo car.

I agree with you wholeheartedly. This could be the downfall of the M3 and M4. It surely is IMO for the recent gen M5. The essence of the NA M3 motors were revving to 8400 rpms. When you're running in that range these cars were absolutely incredible. Dangerous in fact. I went to hell and back many times and truly miss those rushes. My experience with FI motors has never been joyful, the turbo lag and heat soak is an experience killer.

I remember I ran out and bought a 2007 e92 335i right when they came out... It was fitted with a rare factory aero-kit, silver with red interior, a stunner... But not more than a month later I wanted to get rid of it. The lag was there, although BMW claimed it wasn't, the heat soak sucked... At 6500 rpms it just bogged out... And even after getting a Dinan flash, pushing it to over 400bhp, oodles of torque, the car still sucked. Also had the HPFPS replaced three times. Nine months into ownership I sold it. Took a bath on that one.

The New 3/4/M3/M4 is an amazing looking car. In the styling department, BMW nailed it. It's just a shame that the new M cars are so watered down.

I wouldn't have expected to see those 2 together. Love it.

Personally, I have a thing for Mustangs too. I'm slowly selling them off for watches though. I have 3 of these 4 now. They aren't everyone's thing, but they are all kind of rare. The tan hatchback I've had since 1992 when I was in high school. This is an older picture. I had them all parked in the yard one day while I was cleaning the garage and snapped a few pics.



My Daily driver these days is a 2012 A4 "sport package" with a 6 spd manual.

There are some really nice cars in this thread. But there usually are in TRF car threads.

Thank you! The one in front is gone on to another home. I had a lot of fun with that one in particular. Drove it all over the US. It's a 2.3L turbo as is the white convertible behind it. It's an unusual engine option in Mustangs, I suppose.

for me....that is when Mustangs were something special. i was too young for what my father calls a classic.

your collection though is exactly what I call classic. I have been in love with that body style for 20 years.

I had nothing but a good time with my 2002. Disclosure: I was running a restoration shop at the time, and fixing stuff was no big deal. I bought it with a blown motor, but it was a rust free car from Arizona. I loved the great view out those big windows, and I could hang with most cars on Virginia back roads.

Sold it to buy this '73 Porsche 911E. Another non-running car when I acquired it. It looked a lot better after the five year restoration (I had started a family by this point, and couldn't hang out in the shop for 18 hours a day.

Was your 335i really that bad? I'm literally going tomorrow to look at one my local dealer has. I researched them extensively for about 2 years and am well informed of their problems but seeing you post really stopped me in my tracks about potentially buying it tomorrow. lol maybe this is a message from someone above.
