First off, I can't really say because I have never even seen either one in the flesh, just pics. If I was going to hazard an opinion, I think the diamonds fit this dial better than most of the others, because their shape mimics the round markers.

That said, my tastes tend to run to more plain, so I would go non-diamond if I was getting one. Not to mention the extra expense would be a factor for me.

Personally, I don't like diamonds on either men's or women's watches. Especially not sports watches. There are a FEW exceptions :)

Love Tom's watch. It's absurd to say no because it's a tool watch a sports watch....yeah right. Can't remember the last construction worker I saw wearing a platinum or gold YM2 or the last time someone even ran a 10K or played ultimate frisbee wearing a white gold Sub.

I usually think no on diamonds looking at pictures, then I see it person, instant 360.

It boggles my mind when I hear people saying they chose a WG sub to stay "low key". I highly doubt anyone would think a 36k rolex would be considered low key. That's like saying I bought a black Ferrari to blend in. Oxymoron much

Just as there are people who don't know cars and their costs, there are people who have no idea what this watch is or costs.

Most people outside of watch forums have no idea and I like it that way!

And WG Sub very low key unlike any Ferrari!

I get what your saying but why would you make such an expensive purchase if you truly were doing it for the sole purpose of staying low key.

My watches are for me to enjoy plain and simple. Most people I interact with on a daily basis know nothing about watches nor do they ever comment on mine. The only people I interact with that do understand and get it are right here and that is cool by me. Also who said I truly buy a Rolex for sole purpose of staying low key. There are many reasons I love Rolex!!

Some watches are very low profile. I mean take a look at this.. On many occasions ppl thought it is a fake and most think it is a DJII in SS. I think the fact that it comes with a set of SS hands are confusing since this watch normally comes with the highlighted "blue" hands (lovely!) and to be honest those diamonds are so small they hardly blink in most lighting... Plus, this dial combination is not popular, most end up assuming it is a after-market dial on a DJII in SS. So this is my daily beater aka my low key watch.

This other one is even more "low key" and under the radar... I kid you not, my junior clerk ask me where I bought this and she want to buy one for her bf. Many friends who are non wis assume it is a $1000 watch at best which I never bother to clarify since I love the stealthiness.

To answer the original post.. Mate, buy what you like, since the one who is wearing it is yourself. Good luck and cheers!

Best regards,
James.

I'm surprised. Are those hands really SS?

I really like the blue lume on the Sub in the dark. I don't think the diamond markers work well with the Sub.
