Whichever sings the most to you, and not the audience, is the clear winner.

I'd get the LVc and try it out. If you don't like it, you can easily trade it for the LV.

I like both, but would get the LV-C. Prices for NOS LVs are ridiculous and I like to buy new.

The bracelet upgrades alone make the LVC the winner for me. The best advice here (IMHO) is to go with the Ceramic and if you don't like it as much as your (sold) LV, then make the swap. If you haven't seen a Hulk in the flesh, definitely check one out before making a decision.

Not a fan of the older LV, seems to me that all Rolex did was slap a green bezel on the Sub, fit it with bigger hour markers and charge more by calling it an "anniversary'' edition.

Go for the gold the " GREEN GOLD" LVc
I just picked up my bnib 116610LVc and i'm telling you once you try on the new Quick adjust bracelet and gaze into the Green Gold Dial surrounded by that ceramic green bezel that has got it's color by being bombarded with atoms of Gold and Platinum you will forget all about that so called 50Th edition. Who cares about switching out the LV's metal bezel for a black one. If you want a black bezel sub the by the 16610. Why spend a premium on the LV only to put a black bezel in it?????
Just remember that in order for Rolex to make the LVc they have to blend Gold,Platinum and other precious metals together to get that green colour on the maxi dial. I heard that only 4 % of the dials made for the LVc are accepted by quality control. The rest just don't cut it. This makes the LVc much fewer in numbers. I looked around for the 116610lvc for 3 months before one came up. Also Rolex will be pumping up the price in March so make up your mind fast before they nail you for an extra 500$ Go on you tube and take a look at how they make the ceramic bezel. It i'll blow your mind. |

Classic LV, I had a Hulk for a brief period but ultimately it was just too much green, the classic LV is perfect and of course you can easily change the look with a Black insert.

Ceramic bezels are so beautiful. The way they look under different light condition is amazing. They really compliment the SS in a wonderful way. The new bracelet is a huge upgrade in function, fit and looks. I never like the fake bracelet pattern on the clasp. Why pay a premium for a LV. Just another opinion.

See I can't stand the green dial... love the green bezel but much prefer a black dial. I also don't like the case on the ceramic subs, too square and goofy looking to me. As you would guess, 16610LV > 116610LV. Although I do have a glidelock clasp and new band on my 'classic' LV.

Classic all the way!
They might both incorporate green into the watch but they are by no means the same watch. The classic with the metal bezel is amazing in every different light. Totally different green and really looks stunning with the black dial - It is a True Classic. YOU be the Judge - And one more...

I think that's what is interesting about these two watches. They have some similarities but really more differences and those differences seem very polarizing. If 100 people look at those photos I bet you'd get a fifty/fifty split and neither half will be able to understand the other half's choice.
