Subc for first Rolex?
I have been wanting my first Rolex for some time now. I am 34 years old, work long hours, put up with all kinds at work, and have come to a point where I want to reward myself. I have spent countless hours looking up threads on this forums and now I'm hooked! I thought for sure I did not want the Subc for the simple fact that everyone seemed to have "that watch." I wanted to stand out in the crowd. I originally thought I wanted a Platinum Yachtmaster, but now find it too mundane. I like the look of the GMTii Batman, but now find it "too blingy" and don't think the PCL's will be the best to wear as an everyday watch. I like the Hulk and and the 50th anniversay sub model but find it too much green for me, but now have come back around to the classic black model Subc.
I never really considered it a first choice but now cannot stop thinking about getting one. I love the classic good looks, the watch you can wear with a tuxedo or a pair of board shorts, it goes with anything. My only problem is now I want one of each! My wife always says "are you reading about watches again on the forum?!" Guilty. Guilty as charged. From a newbie perspective, anything I might be missing before "diving in?" |
