As I understand the Carribean is about the only place.
That you could walk into an AD and walk out with a S/S daytona on your wrist.
As they don't carry a waiting list
Is that true????

My question is, I am looking for a Daytona SS white face at MSRP. Is it possible to call the stores in the carribean and then go pick it up? Honestly I would rather make a vacation out of it that my family can enjoy instead of paying a 2k mark up here in the US.

Thanks
A.H. Rise in St Thomas will not hold a SS Daytona for you, but they will sell it to you at MSRP (full list). They will not discount the SS Daytona, but will also not sell it at a premium. According to the store manager, they are the largest Rolex dealer in the islands and frequently have a SS Daytona, and it is first come first serve. I have been to A.H. Rise on numerous occaisions, and have never seen a SS Daytona in their display, nor have they had one not on display. They will discount certain models, but the real savings is in "no tax". Their MSRP is the same as US MSRP last time I was there.

Congragulations!!!

With 10% off on a SD that seems OK to me. Enjoy your watch and post some
pics when you have a change.

AD at St Maarten

We went on a cruise last month to Caribbean. Went to the AD at St Maarten(Gold Finger), asked for a SS Sub Date and most they could do was 5% off. We left the store and wondered if they would come out and pull us back ... and they didn't . So, we thought 5% maybe the most they could do ...later that day, we went to the 2nd Gold Finger location and got one with 5% off (about $4,800 USD) . It's still a lot cheaper than Canada consider in Canada, I think they are selling the SS Sub Date at about $6,100 CND + 13% tax (about 6,800 CND).

Pardon me, Comrade C.J., but doesn't the current price list on that item say $5,300.00 USD?

But, a Speedy may not be out of the question

I bought my Sub from Gandelman's in Aruba. Excellent AD, large selection and they definitely discount. Paid $6500 out the door for my TT Blue Sub. Bought my UN from the AD in Jamaica for $4500 out the door, list was over 7K at the time. I also checked out the Rolex AD's in Jamaica but wasn't impressed with the selection or pricing. I emailed Gandelman's in Aruba just the other day inquiring about a Pepsi GMT II. Unfortunately they can't ship it to me.

His post was prior to the March price increase.

I recently purchased a White Daytona SS from Kirk about $200 less than it was gong for stateside and no tax. They had both a white face and a black face available. I walked in and out within 20 minutes. had no idea they would have one. i used to make it a game to ask if someone had a white SS on hand and for a couple years always got the same answer till i walked in there. Great service i highly recommend.
