having both, i can say that the Jumbo definitely makes the Aqua seem a bit underwhelming at times, but in fairness the Aqua is for a completely different kind of style.
again , without sounding cheeky ,,, i thought the two were very very similar in style ,, i have had a real soft spot for the aqua for a long time ,, this is the first watch ive seen that really gives it a run for the money , which is why i asked about the price ,, are they in the same ball park , they look like they should be , but im not familiar with the ap price structure ,,,
id be very interested to hear your views on how the two differ ,, seeing your in the enviable position of owning both , i couldnt think of anyone better to compare ,,, maybe a side line , or the subject of a comparison thread ,,, just thinking outloud really ,,,

i will attempt to get some pics of the two together first chance, having some visitors this week will keep me a bit busy.

in the meantime:

the AP Jumbo has a very nice wrist presence, whereas the Aqua disappears on the wrist.

bottom line so far after a few months of owning, i do not want to take off the Jumbo

i do think it is essential for each person to try it on, if it fits your wrist shape it is magnificent but if it does not, there is really no work around as the bracelet coming off the case has a limited range of motion/accommodation.

side note on the Nautilus, it seems to fit a bit better on a smaller wrist than the AP.

not looking just as snug , but more rounded ,,, which gets more time on the wrist ,,, and , again , without being rude ,, why two watches so similar ,, or in real life , are they actually similar.

many thanks ,, ive actually just made the same comment on kens pictures , it really is a case of having to try before you buy ,,, but with watches of that caliber they arent really impulse buys .

For me they both fit great but I also have a bigger wrist so AP really fits me great where it might not someone with smaller wrist!

They actually both wear quite similar IMHO and both nice and snug! Very similar in fit and feel yet very different. Both represent classic Genta!! My wrist it also 7 3/8th's for reference.

Thank you so much Ken and likewise, I love your AP and it indeed makes a most perfect duo with the Nautilus.

Well, luckily, the local dealer didn't have one in stock.

Tried a self-winding at 41mm, but thought it too similar in stature to other watches I have. Although, some of them will have to go.

Also was a silver dial, which was a bit bling for my taste.

Was retailing at 63,000 AED, or $17,154. I'd expect 10% off that as a matter of course.

Will await the next round of extra thins and a gander at a blue one. It will be priced at 80,000 AED, or $21,782, with a discount unlikely on a model they don't have enough stock of.

Will see what Hong Kong airport duty free has to say about those prices on a fly through due in about 10 days.

Or maybe I should just wait for a dose of buyers remorse to hit one of you lot!
