Option 1: Trade both APs to Datograph
Option 2: Trade one AP to Timzone WG.
Need some serious advise from A Lange owners!
Thanks
The Datograph has become my grail watch -- I have not rotated away from it in about a month, which means it stays (all the other crushes I've had last about a week).

However, the photos in this thread show it with a beautiful blue dial when I think it's a black dial in the real world....what am I missing? Where is that blue coming from?

Until now! I'm still flipping whole bag of coins between both. I borrowed a picture of the Datograph from the internet. The watch was taking from somewhere near a window which has a lot of daylight reflected to an anti-reflective coating on the sapphire glass that cause an affect blue hue visible on naked eyes and camera lens.

however after trying them on i had a different opinion.

my question is have you had the opportunity to put them on your wrist?

Gus is right, the Dato looks amazing but is rather thick, Ken memorably called the original a mini-hamburger, altho the up/down is better proportioned. If the size fits alright on you then this would be my choice for sure.

I have a great chance to try on 3 watches and surprise that the thickness of dato and ZW aren't a big deal for me. Any of them just fit perfectly. Thing I love most is the busy dial on TZ and display back of Dato. I wish both of them can combine together to made a perfect world for all.

I wish I had your problems :-)

In all seriousness, go with the Datograph. The watch is stunning and it will remain a classic forever.

I am a sucker for Geographic/Timezone watches as I travel a lot, but the model you've shown is not the best one in my opinion. If I were to go with a TZ watch, I'd go with a Patek.

If you're looking for a busier dial with an ALS chrono movement, I'd take a look at the older version of the 1815 Chrono. Also has the added benefit of being more comfortable on the wrist.

Good luck!

Another vote for the classic 1815 chrono. It has wonderful depth in the dial and to my eyes a more balanced look while retaining the beauty of the Dato movement.

The classic 1815 is my grail watch.

TZ for me. I am was actually trying on an AP Diver yesterday and the TZ caught my eye. Now I am sitting here wondering which one to get. I know it's like comparing apples to oranges but I can't buy both as the dealer suggested
My issue is that I don't wear suites nor watches to work so it comes down to just casual wear. I need help.
