INCOMING Explorer I 214270 Pure Simplicity>>
Last Saturday, my wife and I were visiting the AD and I happened to catch a glimpse of the 39mm EXPI out of the corner of my eye. It is pretty much the only SS model that I have not owned at some point in the past. So, on a whim I tried it on and literally could not stop smiling.
The symmetry of the dial, the entirely brushed finish, the rugged (but at the same time classic) good looks...this watch seemed to have it all as a daily wearer for those times when I wanted to fly under the radar or just wanted to give my wrist a break from the WG Sub:) For those people that say the days of the Rolex "tool"watch are dead...I implore you to give the Explorer a try. You may be surprised (as I was) at how much it will remind you of the old pre-ceramic days. Pure function...no bells and whistles. Simplicity at its best. Needless to say, I couldn't get it out of my mind...I fired off an email to Tony and 48 hours later I have one on the wrist. It just arrived and I am thrilled with it. Stay tuned for more pics this afternoon.
