Having been shown it on Friday and deposit paid Saturday, at Newcastle Eldon Square AD, got it Monday morning, I was told I was given first option as I had made a number of previous purchases, also I was prepared to commit then and there. Metro Centre Gateshead had one in their safe on Sunday.

I was also told that it could not go on display until Monday, I paid £6,900 on the nose. Not a scrap of an offer.

Did anyone get an instruction booklet?

I bet he wanted a deposit too if it was the one on Clumber Street.

On a side note - just in case you are a Forest fan, I would just like to say 5-0

Mrs BrightonBoy, this new sea dweller is an incredible investment opportunity, and prices are sure to rocket in the future. The fact that Mr BrightonBoy gets to look after a beautiful watch is inconsequential to him as he is only thinking about you and your family's future welfare. A completely selfless act.

Thanks Joker. I went with the wife yesterday and purchased it!!!!!!

I'm so pleased. My first Rolex. It's an incredible watch and I can't stop looking at it.

Here is an iPhone snap for you.

p.s. sorry for the sideways image. for some reason it's coming out like that and I can't get it round the right way.

Has anyone received their instruction manual for the watch yet?
I had a paper slip with mine that said it would be there this week but no sign yet.

I picked up my watch last Monday and there was no slip in the box or from the AD. Only on the Tuesday did I ask the AD about a manual after searching online and seeing others were waiting for them.

Manual arrived on the Thursday. Hopefully you've got yours by now.
