My target is to not buy any more this year. If I do, it will be for my wife. I'd like her to have a SS sporty. Would love a Lady Platty if a used one came along at the right price. Otherwise, perhaps a lady Seamaster?

I am on the list for a Milgauss, however I am not too optimistic about receiving the call. I never thought I would stray from the fold but I have been hearing the Panerai 104's and 287's calling my name. So most likely a Panerai.

The watch budget for 2008 is blown, but the next one (early '09) will be for my husband. He has an Explorer I, but I think I'll get him a SS/PT Yacht Master for his birthday next year.

Probably not going to buy a watch this year (thinking about buying a mid/late 90's MX-5 Miata) instead, but if I do it will be...
Panerai 88 or 111 Sinn Regulator Rolex GMT IIc If I had to guess it would be the Sinn

Next targets for me - in this specific order - are
an Omega SMP 300 22.54.50, black dial, swords hands. a DJ 116234, silver dial, SL sticks. a Blancpain FF diver (non chrono).

Next target for me will be a 16613 TT Black Sub likely. I made the decision for black over the blue since the black is more versatile. I have two SS watches and would like to upgrade to TT. Then maybe after that, my first DJ, also in TT.
I'll buy when I feel I'm ready.

With all the talks about a possible new Sea Dweller.....I'll probably go for that for a NEW watch.
As for vintage.....Still trying to get a nice 16700 GMT with the works.. |

not a bad choice....since right now watch prices are going up and home prices are going down.....sell watches, buy more real estate....

Other important priorities will prevent me from becoming a 2-Rolex man once again......so I'll just have to lie low this year and be content with Platty!!

Dunno. If the new Sub or SD is cool looking, than either. I think these may be rare the first few years so maybe whatever 904L sub or SD's on stock at the local AD. Perhaps the M series older style Pepsi GMT if they still exist in a year.
If not another Rolex, maybe the Sinn U1 or RGM Diver. More likely the Sinn. |

I am looking to get my first Rolex in the next couple of Months,I was in a quandry as to what to go for. I had lusted after an LV Sub,then the Blue TT ,the Classic Sub date or a GMT 11C But could never find them all in one place for a shufty, but on the way home from work in Egypt last month the bloke in Schipol had the lot..tried them all on and am now after a classic Sub date...as soon as it was on it just looked right! Just a small matter of a disagreement with Her Majesty`s Revenue to clear up first, but the date is coming closer, keep winding myself up looking at this bloody website,it`s not healthy!!!!!!
Thing is ...just what does Basel have in store for the sub?????? |
