Personally I find that choice to be kind of tough. I think the GMT TT Ceramic is the most beautiful TTs out of the current Rolex line. However, I think the GMT batman is one of the coolest SSs out of the current Rolex line.

So, I'd go this way with it - If you already have SS then go TT and visa versa.

GoodLuck!

So the TT doesn't hold value but the BLNR is overpriced. So what do you recommend?

The idea of holding value is not so simple as some seem to suggest. Against MSRP the BLNR will do better than the TT in the short term. If you're paying MSRP you will probably do better on the BLNR. But the real answer depends on what you pay for the watch. Depending on the answer to that either one may be the better value.

I bought a BNIB TT for $9.600 versus retail of $13,000. What kind of discount can you get on a new BLNR? Who knows, but it won't come close to that. I'm satisfied with the value I received for my money.

BTW, I bought the 116713 because that's the watched I wanted. But value certainly is a valid consideration even though I've never sold a watch. I just don't like to feel like I'm flushing my money down the toilet.

Wow, tough decision. When it comes to GMTs I love them all!

I have always loved the TT but have so far held off for the BLNR. I am sure the next will be a pepsi and that leaves the TT for last.

Sorry I don't think I helped much :)

Personal choice....

I love both... and lucky to have both!

But over all I love the TT best!

My preference is LN, followed by BLNR, followed by TT.

Forget "Batman" I own one and Ive actually had a quite a few guys ask if it was a Sub..as in "Hey is that one of those Submariners?"...and I say "Well no actually, its GM...oh never mind, sure its a Submariner"....Life is too short explain why all cool watches look like submariners....

And God forbid they ask what GMT stands for..thats just embarrassing...lol

I have no desire for a YG gmt. TT is flashy enough.

On a serious note... have all Rolex's migrated to the Blue lume? This was one other consideration I had when debating between the BLNR and the LN... I just thought the blue lume goes better with the BLNR than a watch with green accents.

In fairness to the lume... it stays white most of the time and only pops blue when it is still light out in specific light transition situations. I've had some green lumed watches that seemed to always be blazing green even in semi-light situations. There was no hiding what it was. The blue lume works well once it is very dark and eyes are adjusted... a little rough (as in difficult to see) during that initial transition period, especially if not transitioning from a particularly bright environment.

I agree. If I had the two tone I would be very happy. Alas the budget didn't allow for the precious metals so I'm perfectly content with the two tone in the ceramic magic bezel:

Which has the potential for holding its value better?

If you buy a Rolex based on future value instead of which one you like best, then you will screw up.
