...Tho the majority tend towards the Silver.. Im inclined to go with the Blue..!
Besides being a favorite colour, the contrast from face to hands..makes it more visible and 'readable'..imo...!! -
Reminds me of a Rolex Date, that Ive been looking for.. for someone else...(a long story..).!
For a daily, I'd go BLUE...!!

Being an old Penn State Alumnus, I have to go with blue, as in Penn State blue.

..Personally, with the blue dial, I like the Oyster...for a 'daily'!! -
Tho the Jubilee, as pictured above, looks pretty damn fine too..!!

I think for a daily wear piece, you have to consider whether you're looking for (1) the best looking watch itself or (2) the watch that will best complement your look/lifestyle generally. It's like asking whether a WG DD with rhodium dial is better/worse than the Smurf (WG Sub with blue/blue). Same price relatively but altogether different. Wish you the best of luck and many happy returns.

I have had blue and silver and the silver was easier to read the dial in most circumstances.

Don't ever get silver, everyone will just think you just can't afford gold, just like on the TTs.

I personally love the blue. I'm a sucker for blue actually. I just made this choice Friday and have a blue, stick dial, smooth bezel DJ 2 on oyster inbound from my AD. One I've been waiting for for a while.

Both are nice, distinctively Rolex designs. Somehow I like the blue better. Maybe cos it is less common

I would definitely choose the silver dial! I owned a DJ 116234 with the blue stick dial but quickly tired of the blue and sold the watch. As far as I'm concerned, watches with white, silver, and black dials go with everything.

Silver Dial, Oyster bracelet. Unless of course you have other Datejusts already. The silver dial takes a couple of days to get used to (or at least it did for me 14 years ago), but once you've got used it it looks so classy you'll never want to change.

These aren't datejust dials, just op dials (no date). Someone please correct me if I'm uninformed. I vote blue on a super jubilee, that combo is beautiful.

I believe those are for the oyster perpetual, not the DJ.
