Congrats, Felly!!! Hope all woks out.... I know what it is like to build yourself up so much... almost like the wait was the exciting and interesting bit... now that the suspense is over.... it has lost a bit of that WOW factor. Who knows... it may grow on you?!?!? :-)

After all that and you have doubts. I think it is awsome. It's a classic. One watch to be worn for what it is. Any one who knows watches knows how special it is. Enjoy it Filly. It is a wonderful watch. And I like the black dial even more; Jim

I'm at work right now so I cannot see the pics (my employer blocks photobucket) but I am sure it's a beautiful watch. Give her a few weeks. If you still are not 100% happy, you'll get your $$ back and more!

Very nice, I just wish they made the GV with the white dial, I would be all over that. I like the white dial more because it makes the dial appear bigger than it's actual 40mm size.

Congrats, Felly! You own a much sought-after Rolex. You can always flip it for a little profit if it doesn't suit you.

give the watch some time; but here's the really great part. if you decide you don't like it, you can always sell it(right now at least) and get your money back ++++. There's a lot of people who will buy it from you right here on TRF. Look no farther than your friends.... Enjoy that beautiful watch as long as you decide to keep it. best, dan |

It is curious just how some watches look really nice on pics but don't feel the same on the wrist! Same the other way arround!!!
Enjoy your watch in good health! and if it doesn't sing to you flip it!!!! Youll make some nice profit on that one!!!!

Congrats Felly!! That's one stunning watch, and by far THE model Rolex to get for "investment" purposes!
I would get one even if I didn't like the look all that much (but I must admit I'm rather partial to that green glass). I think it stands for Glasse Verde (Green Glass), I may be wrong. What I like about the crystal is that the green colour plays into two themes... Firstly, and most important to Rolex, it's the anniversary model. So it's been duly dubbed with the green embellishments. Secondly, and I don't know whether this intended by Rolex, the green glass parallels the green glass spacers you would fing on the sides of large power lines, on the pylons. I think that fits in well with the whole "electic" second hand and the anti-magnetism of the watch. Don't worry if you don't like it right now. It's yours, and you've earned it. It's a rare find! Give it some time, and it may grow on you. If not, it's sure to appreciate in value more than any current model. Remember how much Steve's 1981 Milgauss is valued at? +20K USD!!! Imagine yours in 25 years!

Congrats Felly. Just the opposite of what I thought about the white dial Milgauss. After getting one I was going to flip it. Though now the more I wear it, the more I like it. A GV will be my next purchase when one becomes available. Waiting on what you decide. Just remember, like it or not, you win.

Felly, does the fact that essential watches has a GV listed for $17000 possibly make you want to flip it???
HOLY CRAP, that's more than a "grail" SS 116520 !!! I had no idea the GV gray market was that high. http://www.essential-watches.com/wat...tn=2&subsctn=6 I guess this explains why BB still does not have one for me, even though they tell me I am number one on the list and they know I'm not a flipper. Guess I'll have to buy another Rolex when my GV comes in, and let them know that beforehand. |

I think it looks great Felly and it has an awwsome lume which even reflects the lettering of the ROLEXROLEXROLEX interior bezel.
I think you'll soon learn to love it! |

Congrats, great pictures.I sympathize with your dilema with the GV. I'm waiting on mine, but IF something really great, like an updated EXP II comes out at Basel, I may pass on the GV for something I like better. We'll see.

I mean e-bay has a GV listed for $22,000. I doubt it will sell at that price but if someone was willing to give you close to that it's hard to say no. I have an e-bay contact in NY NY who has gotten three regular Milgauss, and filpped all three for a $1,000 profit. It's hard to turn that kind of money down.
I donated the Milgauss my AD sold me to a charity auction, it went for almost 8K, I couldn't believe it!! I'm no saint though, I'm taking the tax deduction for the full 8K I'm no saint
