Still Day-Date II. This is the quintessential Rolex, regardless if it is the DD or DD II.

Helluva choice to make...but I am thinking Platona. But whichever I chose it wouldn't surprise me if I flipped it for the other at some point

Platona, hands down.

The ONLY DD that does it for me is the yellow gold with the fluted bezel.

Why chose one when you can have both, like twin sisters just not identical twin sisters

Everybody needs to platinum watches. One for each arm. There is no way to walk balanced with just one heavy watch on one wrist.

I love the design of the Daytona and think the Day Date looks too classic for me, so I would say Platinum Daytona all day long. I don't know about platinum, but the jump from stainless steel to white gold is indescribable. Although they look similar, the feel on the wrist is 100% different whether you are talking about the color, weight, or texture. I would imagine the difference between SS and Platinum or Gold and Platinum would have similar results and differences.

I have not tried on a platinum Daytona, but I imagine considering the different weight, color, and texture that it would quickly ruin the joy I have in upgrading from stainless steel to white gold not too long ago.

Very serious pics Joe, Ken and Tom! I have never owned a Daytona… I love the look and feel of the Platinum Daytona and I am still trying to see how I can fit into the Plat DD2, I guess it's the smooth bezel I need to get accustomed to… In any event PLT 36mm is how I'm warming up to it…
