Forget about saving for a Rolex, it's an ineffective approach...strive to become wealthy instead...then you can buy all the Rolex you want...

I saved for my first buying and selling nice used cars to college kids who need it for work. (Buy very low sell high basically) and did the same to come up with cash to trade up my DJ to a 14060 which I am expecting in the mail real soon!

Residual income is also an option! I design websites all though it doesn't rain money as much as I would like with all these 3rd party drag n drop companies cutting in but when I get work and get paid. I stash it and forget it's there till it's time to pull a trigger on something like a Rolex

Goodluck

Buying Apple at its all time high is not a smart idea. Buy low SELL high.

If you can't afford a Rolex, your priorities should be on investing for your future. And never buy a luxury watch on credit. Delay your gratification, and you will afford rolexes later on. I know, the young can't understand that wisdom. But there it is.

Buying a lottery ticket never hurt anybody!

Seriously... work hard and save. Open a separate bank account and have a portion of your paycheck direct deposited. And don't keep the debit card in your wallet =)

Amen. I pissed away a lot of money on cars, firearms, etc over the years. I own my home and have no auto loans or credit card debt, but how I wish I'd have invested in real estate or something back in the day. I was making more than enough money to do so. Great point on paying interest. It's a suckers bet unless you can write it off. When it comes to things like buying Rolexes, pay as you go.

Words of true wisdom. Here this post, and smile when you make it happen the right way.

Spending for luxury (when you can't afford it) on credit is not a smart move.

One meal a day of ramen noodles and tap water the rest of the day. Depending on your profession you could definitely afford at least a SubC by the end of 12 mons or maybe a Platona

Depends if you are a big spender. I am, so I need to save, for a Rolex, or for investing...

On the other hand, trying to make more, changing jobs, may help, as you might end up getting a 10-20% pay increase changing jobs. But if you have done all these, and still struggle, then a luxury watch is not ready for you yet.

If you are working all the time when young, you don't have time to spend money.

Bottom line, do well at what you do and money will come. Have some fun, but save more. Compound, compound, compound.

I'm not a rich guy, but comfortable. Live within your means.

What's the fastest way to save money to buy Rolexes!!

Don't get married. If you are, don't get divorced. (Unless she has a spending problem). Don't have kids or pets. Don't smoke, drink or do drugs. Avoid the fast cars and faster women.

But seriously. My employer has a stock purchase plan, and a way to put money into a mutual fund account each payday. This is on top of 401k and other retirement accounts. I put a few thousand a quarter in those. Wife never knew until I bought my DSSD and transferred the $ the checking account for her to pay the cc bill.
