Guys--Thanks for the feedback. The key is to relax, although I like the suggestion to get a good price, wear the watch, do the tax back, and FedEx the box and papers.

I guess I am too honest and always declare my purchases coming back through customs. The max I ever had to pay was 3% on the amount in excess of the duty free allowance. That said, it is tough to beat the trusted seller prices right here on the forum unless you specifically want to commemorate your trip with a watch.

Buying a watch from a AD in Cancun would be exactly the same as buying from any AD in this world today. Just wear it when going back home but remember you could be liable for any tax on return to your country.
