Congrats! I personally love the BLNR, had numerous 16710's over the years but all the new upgrades are the way to go IMO... That being said beautiful 16710, congrats and enjoy

For me BLRO over BLNR. I just love the Red/Blue combo.

Tell me about it! The WG Pepsi is not going to be in my budget anytime soon. Damn it. Truly the best looking thing I"ve seen since my wife was 18.
cheers.

A 3186 Pepsi in 20 years will be worth more to collectors. Not that this was your reasoning, but you did say that finding a clean one in the future will be more difficult and you are right.
My "d" 16710 approves of this message.

I agree with Adam.

Since you wanted the Pepsi and found just the right variant in mint condition from a guy who also happened to want the watch you had, it was the perfect opportunity to pull the trigger. While not rare, finding the perfect Pepsi for you would be tougher than finding another BLNR.

Enjoy that classic!

If I ever get a GMT, it would be the BLNR.

Once again, I don't know what's wrong with me as I know I'm in the minority, :) Congrats on the 16710, beautiful one you got there.
X 2 .... Totally agree you made a great decision.

Enjoy your new toy!!

Another pic of my 16710b. I may consider adding a BLNR down the road, but cannot let this one go.

My 16710A w/3186 approves of this trade. I really like the BLNR as well but I think it's much easier to pick one up at a later time than a 16710/3186 and IMHO the 16710 exudes a bit more old school charm....man's watch vs jewelry sort of thing.

I'd trade my brand new BLNR for that 3186 16710B right now.
Great move.

I didn't note the particulars which is I got a decent discount on the blnr when purchased new and got after the trade deal my net cost on the Pepsi was quite reasonable.

I do realize the pros and cons my experience:

I like the bigger size case and markers and different luminous glow of the blnr and ceramic of course and the color!

I like the "vintage older" style clasp and brushed vs polished links and that the red and blue is discontinued and this being the 3186 movement and last series of production may in the long term make it more valuable (but I pick watches I wear and like if it goes up and collectible that's a bonus)

Since I have a ceramic green sub it fills in the case size and luminous
And figured the blnr is current and I can get another one later on but getting the right Pepsi can be challenging!

Thanks for all the comments and all the inputs!
I think that's the first time I've read some1 liked the older clasp better. That's a head scratcher for me.
