Excellent choice. I too am biased, because that watch began my fascination with Rolex as my Dad owned one. I have to ask, delicately Dr. Tom, how do you and your wife share watches so readily? Is it just a matter of a pin adjustment? Your forearms always appear muscular and quite "vascular" while your wife's are the epitome of femininity (not that I took undo notice!).

I think you make excellent choice with that dj. TT, Oyster, black dial, and most importantly it has diamonds on the dial. I bet it look really goon on her wrist.

fair question, I have small wrists 6.5 inch, she is smaller but wears the watches loose and me pretty tight so works out great (mostly for me!)

well me I tried to get a YG Daytona, and she didnt go for that, darn!

she saw this and imed liked it. My AD would give me a BIG discount on it.

My question is would it look ok on me? everyone posts up the classic 36mm size and I kinda miss that option

so this would be a present for the wife, but thinking would look ok if I wore it also??

thoughts....

thanks

tom

Nothing wrong with a 36mm Datejust. It is a classic for a reason. It surprisingly wears "larger" than other 36mm watches, especially since Rolex upgraded the lugs back in 2005. I own two Datejusts and love them both.

You can totally pull this off. Being accustomed to 40mm watches, it is understandable your reservations regarding smaller watches. I doubt you will have any regrets towards wearing a Datejust. The one you are trying on looks amazing on you.

Looking forward to seeing the incoming/WRUW thread in December.

I like my sports watches big, and my dress watches slender. I think it looks great on you. Nothing wrong with the David Bowie of watches.

Go For It! You may really like the feel of a 36mm on your wrist and the size will be great for her too.

36mm is a great choice, I wear mine every day.

And, the DJ will dress up a bit more than your usual Daytona...

Tom,

The watch looks totally natural on your wrist. You can definitely pull it off. Much better to have a watch make your wrist look stout then a huge watch on a thin wrist that looks like your trying to overcompensate.

The 36mm Datejusts look great on you Tom.....

But before you pull the trigger... You & your wife should look at the 36mm Day-Date.....

It will look nice on your wife & on you too Dr. Tom......

Looks great on you, perfect size. Normally I don't care for diamonds, but on that dial they look good. All in all a great find.
